Laser processing for aerospace manufacturing applications
The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology (CCAT; East Hartford, CT) and the National Center for Aerospace Leadership (NCAL) announces that the 4th Symposium for Aerospace Laser Applications (SALA) will take place at Rentschler Field, East Hartford, CT on April 1-2, 2009. This conference, which originally focused on laser drilling for aerospace applications, now examines a wider range of laser processes being used by manufacturers for aerospace applications.
More than 160 participants from the USA and Europe attended SALA 2008 for presentations covering percussion laser hole drilling to laser based paint removal. SALA 2009 will cover applied laser technologies for the aerospace industry including: drilling, cutting, welding, additive manufacturing and surface treatment
There will be a reception which will include vendor products for: lasers, optics, support equipment and laser systems as well as small and medium manufacturers serving the aerospace industry. Visit www.ccat.us/laser/events for more registration information.
